Who we are
TechBide operates TutorOS. For information that tutoring businesses store about their students and parents, the tutoring business is the data controller and TechBide acts as their data processor. For information about our own customers and website visitors, TechBide is the controller.
What we collect
- Account information: names, email addresses, phone numbers and passwords (stored securely hashed).
- Records entered by tutoring businesses: student and parent details, attendance, homework, results, fees and messages.
- Website enquiries: the details you send through our contact form.
- Technical data: IP address and browser information, used for security and audit logs.
Children's data
TutorOS is used to manage information about children. We only process it on the instructions of the tutoring business, keep each business's data separate, restrict access by role, and never sell it or use it for advertising. Student profiles are never public.
How we use data
To provide and secure the service, reply to enquiries, send service emails such as password resets and fee reminders, and meet legal obligations.
Sharing
We use trusted providers for hosting, email delivery and payment processing, under contracts that protect your data. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
We keep data while an account is active. When an organisation closes its account, we delete its data within 90 days unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to processing. Parents should contact their tutoring business first; you can also contact us.
Third-party fonts
This website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers.
